Utility Backhoe

With their compact design, low overall height and minimum soil compaction, our Utility Backhoes can work in relatively small spaces. They're perfect for plumbers, builders, contractors, nursery owners and landscapers.


  • Curved Boom - The curved boom design allows for increased visibility. You can clearly see what you're doing from the seat of your tractor.
  • Quick, Easy Attaching & Detaching - Attaching and detaching your Utility Backhoe is a fast, one-person job. The subframe remains attached to the backhoe and the 3-point lift arms stay on the tractor. To hook up, just back over the subframe and quick-couple the hydraulics. Position the self-aligning rear hangers and raise the front of the subframe hydraulically. Secure it to the front hangers with two pins, and you're finished.
  • 2-Lever Wobble Stick Control - Two levers make it easy to operate the boom, dipper stick, bucket & swing.
  • Low-Profile Console - The console houses the controls without obstructing your view of your work.
  • Bucket Options - A complete range of buckets is available to satisfy every digging requirement.

  • Wide Range of Augers - The auger is the "drill bit" for your Post Hole Digger. We offer an assortment of augers for drilling holes from 6" to 24" in diameter, and up to 42" deep.
  • Convenient Controls - Drilling Depth and auger engagement are controlled using your Boomer Tractor's hydraulics and PTO (Power Take-Off), right from your tractor seat.
  • Square Tubular Steel Construction - A turning auger generates a great deal of torsional stress, but the Post Hole Digger's steel construction can handle it.
  • Machined, Hardened Steel Gears - Heavy duty gears transfer power smoothly from tractor to auger.
  • Optional Auger Extensions - 9" or 14" extensions increase the digging depth to 51" or 56".
  • Double or Semi-Double Auger Flighting - Flighting refers to the spiraling surfaces along the length of the auger. With a choice of double or semi-double flighting augers, you can match the auger to the job and soil conditions.
