Silt Fence Installer

Put in more fence faster, easier,
and more economically with a
Burchland XTS Silt Fence Installer!

With increasing enforcement of stormwater pollution regulations, silt fence installers have become the choice over hand digging or trenching. By slicing or plowing the silt fence into the ground, the installation is more secure. The fence is installed right and tight, faster, easier and more economically.

The Burchland Mfg. Silt Fence Installer was created after a request from a contractor for a silt fence plow that is precision engineered, ruggedly built and ultra-dependable, providing greater value than using a trencher or hand digging. Due to the huge demand for silt fence, this contractor could not always get silt fence subcontractors to his jobsite on time. He was not willing to dedicate the man-hours required for the traditional trenched in silt fence. There was a place in the market for a well built, dependable silt fence machine.

The Burchland Mfg. Silt Fence Installer is precision engineered, ruggedly built and ultra-dependable to handle tough applications. No wheels or moving parts are required to transition the fabric into the ground. The Burchland Silt Fence Installer knifes the fabric into the ground without a fold. This allows for the entire width of the fabric to be utilized. A silt fence installed with this method is stronger due to increased ground tension and will also help prevent washouts under the fabric. You can install thousands of feet of fabric per hour down to any depth you choose to a maximum of 20 inches.

Material Roller

Cut Material Installation Costs By As Much As 40%... Or More, With the Burchland EZR

The Burchland Mfg. Material Roller is a productivity tool that can save hundreds of hours installing erosion control blankets of all types. It can also be used for other rolled materials such as nonwoven geotextiles and vineyard nettings.

Your workday just got a lot easier. Introducing the Burchland EZR Material Roller. Precisely crafted and ruggedly built, the Burchland EZR will not only lighten your load, but cut your crew requirements by almost half. From loading to unloading the flat-bed to laying down roll after roll, any project will get done faster with less physical effort with the EZR.

The boom on the Material Roller can be controlled from the cab. It can swing 180° to unroll from the right or left side of the skid steer. The boom can also be positioned straight out from the cab to unload rolls directly from a trailer. This allows the contractor to use larger rolls that could not be handled manually. This saves material cost and time.

Straw Crimper

Burchland's SCX Straw Crimper lets you say good-bye to poorly secured, uneven straw mulch installation due to rocks, roots, stumps and even sidewalks. Why? Because each SCX mulch crimper disc can pivot left and right and up and down independently from each other which is a big advantage over other straw crimpers.

No other mulch crimper offers this time saving, quality installation feature. When a conventional, single-shaft crimper hits a rock, the whole machine lifts up and can totally disengage the soil. Not so with the SCX straw crimper. When an SCX crimper disc hits an object, it floats over or pivots around it, while the other discs remain firmly engaged with the soil. The disc pivoting action also allows for smoother, tighter turns for faster installation.

These features along with the SCX’s sturdy construction and ease of operation let you confidently and uniformly crimp straw- that will stay crimped- to keep soil in place and undisturbed…even in high winds or heavy rainfall.
