Compactor Drivers

Allied pioneered the concept of hydraulically operated Ho-Pac vibratory compactor/drivers. Using an eccentric, rotating weight that creates vibrations and impulse energy, a carrier mounted Ho-Pac provides the needed forces for effective soil compaction.

The all-new extreme Ho-Pacs now deliver more impact energy, an errorless four-function valve, a variety of mounting configurations and maintenance-free oil splash bearing lubrication.

Because it’s both a compactor and a driver, the Allied Ho-Pac permits even the smallest contractor or municipality to have this dual capability available.
  • Four Function Valve - Controls flow, pressure, regenerations and oil flow direction
  • Oil Splash Lubrication - Provides maintenance-free (no greasing) bearing lubrication
  • Tough Coat Hoses - Prevent cuts and extend wear-life
  • Variable Mounting SystemTM (VMS) available - All models available with Allied’s patented VMS mounting system for quick changing between carriers

Ho-Pacs are ideal for trench, slope and excavation compaction. The vibration produced by the Ho-Pac is an ideal force for compacting granular materials since vibration generates stress waves which bring the soil’s air to the surface. As a result, the particles of soil are rearranged and moved closer to each other which reduces voids in the soil. Ho-Pacs compact in densities in excess of 95% Proctor. Ho-Pacs are also used for compacting waste materials and for breaking up frozen coal. An optional swivel-top mounting bracket permits precise positioning of the Ho-Pac without repositioning the carrier.

As a driver, Ho-Pacs offer a faster, less-expensive technique for driving wood, steel and aluminum sheeting, H and I beams, piling, posts and sea walls. Ho-Pacs send vibration along the length of the item being driven, breaking the skin friction that slows driving.

This vibration, coupled with the impulse force of the Ho-Pac and the carrier’s down pressure, makes the unit a truly remarkable driver of beams, sea walls and piling.

The Skid Steer mounted Skid-Pac uses the same technology to provide the needed forces for effective flatwork soil compaction.

Changing from bucket to Skid-Pac in minutes, it eliminates the need for a special purpose machine - like a walk-behind plate compactor or ride on roller on the jobsite.

Rotary Asphalt Cutters

Allied Construction Products' Roto-Cut high-speed asphalt cutter - slashes man hours off cutting jobs.

Mounting easily with or without a Mounting Block, it uses the down pressure from the carrier to make clean cuts up to 5 inches deep at a rate of 6,000 feet per hour.

The extra hard steel alloy rotary blade stays sharp to keep cutting longer even through high-density asphaltic concrete.

  • Heavy-duty treated alloy steel axle - Holds up against down-pressure force
  • Twin-tapered roller bearings - Designed for up to 10,000 hours of bearing life
  • Deep penetration - Allows for deep cuts in the asphalt in a shorter period of time
  • ¾ inch thick frame - Resists bending and down-pressure forces

  • Model 1200 - The one-piece yoke constructed frame installs on scarifier bar of all large motor graders and it fits wheel loader buckets using the optional 1800LB Mounting Block.
  • Model 1200C & Model 1800C - The welded steel frame installs on both loader buckets and backhoe buckets with a screw clamp device. The throat design fits many different wheel loader and backhoe loader models.
  • Model 1800M - The welded steel frame mounts on any standard motor grader moldboard 17 inches to 28 inches high. Tilting of the moldboard permits angle cutting.
  • Model 1800S & 1800L - The dual shank constructed frame mounts in the slots on scarifier block of motor graders and with the 1800LB Mounting Block adapts to wheel loaders and backhoe / loaders. Shanks adjust from 9 inches to 9.5 inches to fit various blocks.
  • Model 1800LB Mounting Block - Designed to use for wheel loader bucket installation with Model 1200 or Model 1800S/L. The Mounting Block is welded on the backside of the wheel loader bucket.

  • Contractor's Mechanical Grapple

Allied earned its reputation with engineering that works and equipment that lasts. The Allied Contractor’s Mechanical Grapple continues that tradition with a design strength that is unparalleled in the industry as it can withstand the full breakout force of the excavator on a single tine.

Allied has pin-and-boss kits available for all common carriers. Having a variety of kits available provides greater interchangeability from machine to machine in the same weight class.

Allied offers Contractor’s Mechanical Grapples for excavators ranging from 30,000 to 140,000 pounds. These heavy-duty grapples are designed for severe applications such as stump removal, tearing down structures, sorting material and loading trucks.

    • Interchangeability - Mounting kit design allows for grapple to be mounted on all excavators of the same weight class
    • Built stronger - Thicker exterior plates, stronger stiff-arm connector, thicker mounting lugs, heavy-duty mounting pad, Hardox 400 tine tips
    • Denser loading capacities - Packs trucks tighter because of oversized tine tips used as "iron-fist" to compact
    • Alternate mounting available - Purpose built designs and quick coupler adaptors are options
